Four checks before procurement

1. Work package and quantity basis
Identify the work package, drawing revision, measurement basis and items that need site or technical clarification.
2. Specification and alternatives
Collect the required material specification, approved products and permitted alternatives before comparing suppliers or rates.
3. Delivery sequence
Identify what is needed first, dependencies, lead times and delivery or storage constraints at the site.
4. Decision purpose
State whether the review supports a purchase request, supplier comparison, quotation, budget or site delivery plan.
